Dear forum members,
I have a question regarding the ED_TIMESTAMP channel. Initially I had the assumption that the value of ED_TIMESTAMP for a given packet received from the headset is the time this packet was captured after recording start.
When experiencing packet loss I therefore hoped that the timestamp of the first packet I receive after loosing some packets would have a corresponding bigger difference to the timestamp of the packet I received before.
But although I can see the loss in the packet counter channel, the timestamp difference to the last packet is about the same as between two packets when there is no loss.
So my question is if there is a way to get a timestamp that also incorporates the time delays caused by packet loss. This is important to me, because I want to use this timestamps to create a time correspondence to data I receive from another source.
I would be very glad if someone could help me with this issue.
Regards,
Benjamin
