Hi everyone!
Correct me if I am wrong, but in my opinion Emotiv’s classifier for asynchronous mental commands is a state-of-the-art algorithm for BCI. The potential it has for the development of robotic assistive devices is huge, and many projects have come out of it.
I have seen some people have asked for its working principle, and I understand that to some extent it is an industrial secret. However, I wanted to ask: have the developers ever published any academic document on this matter? Is there an “official” version — no matter on how high level — on how the mental commands algorithms work? I am specially curious about some Machine Learning stuff, namely spatial filters & feature selection, reduction of artifacts, variability of the signal in different environments, etc.
Any comment will be highly appreciated. Also, I apologize in advance if I have posted in the wrong place of the forum.
Cheers!
