I know I did the wrong thing. I wish I had read this before I purchased as well. I saw a TED Talk about this product a while ago and got excited. I kinda jumped in the waters without looking through the forums properly. Now that I have my device I see that nothing I expected is supported/ works and it is locked behind this hostile license. I have contacted Emotiv for a refund as I have not even used the device yet. I cant ver Cortex to even find it even though it is connected through USB. I think this may b my worse online experience yet. I am going to post a thorough and honest Youtube about this device. Customers seem to keep getting caught in this trap.
