I am curious about the EMOTIV Insight but have a few question. It says clearly that I cannot collect RAW EEG data with the open SDK, but the brain frequency data. I thought these where similar? Is the brain frequency data a product of processed RAW EEG data? How do these relate and what functionality do I miss by not having access to the raw EEG data?
How easy is it to create and Android application, pair it with a smartphone and start collection the brain frequency data from Insight using the smartphone? Is the Android SDK full of bugs, or is it easy and simple to set up?
As far as I understand it, for me to do mood prediction as part of my own Android application, I have to find algorithms online? Since in order to get access to the premium SDK, I would have to pay an substantial fee and go through an rigorous process?
