EPOC+ Android SDK
Hi, I am developing a program using EPOC+ EEG data, on my computer I had no problems, but on Android I haven’t been able to get any data, the application keep asking to conect the headset, even using SDK examples.
Does the Android SDK works for the EPOC+ or just for Insight?
Does anyone have a Exemple to get the EGG data on Android?

I tried to get the version but couldn’t find it by right clicking the icon or searching for a help function (there wasn’t a help function). I downloaded the software on July 29 so whatever you folks had posted then should be the version. My screen resolution is 1366×768.

Tips that will help a cool art project
I’m writing/producing a live theatre production. We’re using the Emotiv Epoc+ to show the neural activity of a cast member as she performs. We’ll be using 3D Brain Visualizer and the Brain Activity Map Standard edition. The image will have the most impact if it’s wildly active. What are the best settings for the headset to ensure that there is an incredible amount of activity? Lots of colour changes, lots of activity dispersed throughout the brain, that sort of thing.

Pre-purchase question
Hi all. I am interested in purchasing one of the headsets for personal research. This may sound a little bit strange but I would like to study the brainwave changes that happen during sexual arousal and orgasm. I’m also interested in monitoring my own brainwaves in real-time during meditation sessions.
So two questions… would the insight be sufficient for my needs or will I need the epoc? And secondly, which software would be most useful for what I am trying to accomplish? Thank you so much.

I’m a beginner with Emotiv Epoc needing some help. I’ve been using epoc + openvibe P300 speller paradigm (using XDAWN protocol in openvibe). Does anyone know how to export the recorded data (data + events) so I can analyze it in another software such as Matlab?

Failed Upgrade of non-EEG EPOC+ to EEG
Hello,
We ordered a EPOC+ with the EEG enabled, hoping to have access to the TestBench software to collect data for a study.
We not been not able to access the TestBench software. The software we purchased is not under any “Downloads” tab since we purchased everything without a EmotivID. Rather, download links were sent via an email.
We were also sent a non-EEG headset due to “an effort to process paid orders in a promised time frame.” We were contacted by support with a upgrade tool (EmotivLocalUpgradeTools) to enable EEG on the headset, and have tried repeatedly to upgrade the system, however, it consistently fails. We have been contacting customer support daily to try and fix the system with no success. The error log reads as follows:
Has anyone else encountered this error and/or had any success upgrading the EPOC+ headset from non-EEG to EEG?

Hi. Tech support aggreed that there is a problem between Epoc + and BAM. They are trying to isolate and recreate the issue.
Hopefully we’ll see a solution soon to all incompatibility issues related with Epoc+.

Hi All! I’ve received a reply from Transparent Corp. They accept there is incompatibility with Epoc+ and their softwares.
A meaningful step for Emotiv would be to fix the bug and update the Epoc+ firmware.

Questions re my order and software

Not sure where to post and still waiting for an answer from support.
I bought the Epoch and minddrone I’ve noticed a link to the MindDrone Windows installation. Does this mean I have only bought the software to control a drone and not the actual drone as well? Even when I read the details on your site to buy a drone it reads that I bought a drone and not just software. Can you confirm please?
I’ve just logged in to the software section on your site and downloaded Xavier. However, I looked at the EMOTIV Pure•EEG Raw EEG Software and it is charged on a monthly basis. Is this the only way I can see my raw eeg data stream? I’m not sure what I am paying monthly for, unless the Emotiv system is accessing data or using services form outside of the product I’ve bought and software installed on my pc.

I was wondering whether the Mac version of testbench supports inserting stimulus markers, and if so how.
On my PC I’ve been using a virtual serial port emulator, but I don’t think that would work on a Mac.

Insight Performance Metrics
Are the Performance Metrics (Intent, Engagement, Stress, Relaxation, etc) related to brainwaves (alpha, beta, etc)?
If so, how are they related? For instance, what frequencies (brainwaves) are ‘included’ in the metric ‘relaxation’, for example?

Using SDK on Raspberry Pi
Hi,
I’m trying the newest community-sdk with the python samples on a Raspberry Pi. Has anybody of you got the EPOC running on a Raspberry Pi, yet?
When running for example the HeadsetInformationLogger.py the call `libEDK = CDLL(libPath)’ crashes with “Illegal Instruction”.
The libPath references to the “libedk.so” within “bin/armhf/”.
Has anybody an idea why this is happening? No difference if I’m using Python 2 or 3. I’m using Raspberry Pi Model B.

We are experiencing the same problem: Sometimes the reports get generated right away, other times they never do. Very inconsistent. I wonder if there is a bug or something. Our internet connection is very fast and stable.
